+ 3-4 oranges

+ I large branch (preferably one that has fallen naturally found in nature)

+ a handful of smaller sticks

+ sari ribbon, thread, twine or yarn

+ scissors and a glue gun

+ (optional) essential oils

1. Slice your oranges into about 1/4" slices.

2. (optional) for an added natural potpourri affect, add a few drops of essential oils to each slice. I used Young Living's Christmas Spirit, Cinnamon Bark + Ginger.

3. Place your orange slices in the oven on the lowest setting and let slowly heat for about 5-7 hours, then turn oven off and let sit in the oven over night.

1. Lay out your pieces to find the design you would like to go with.

2. Use a needle + thread to tie the orange pieces together. You can string them together as close or as far apart as you would like.

3. Use your sari ribbon or twine and tie around the tops of your smaller sticks. I use a dab of hot glue to make sure they stay in place. You can tie each one separately or all together on one strand like I did here.

4. Once you have your strands of oranges and sticks together just tie them to the larger branch in the place you want them to hang.

5. Use a piece of the same ribbon or twine to make a hanger on top. Just tie one end on (I use hot glue here as well) and then tie it to the other end leaving enough room in between for it to hang nicely on a hook.

You could get creative with the colors to make it more holiday by using red + green ribbons or yarns, or adding dried cranberries to the design. I wanted something simple and earthy to blend in with my decor, but have fun with it! This would make an excellent craft to do with your kiddos for the holidays, or for any time of the year with nature exploring!

Small Space Office Refresh

This post is sponsored by Cost Plus World Market and contains affiliate links. All opinions are my own.

I have been in desperate need of an office refresh! I had allowed papers to pile up all around me and my cubbies were getting so unorganized. I grabbed a few things from Cost Plus World Market to spruce up my Small Space Living. Their new fall collection that was just released is one of my favorites and has me inspired for the upcoming season! I love to go into my local store at The Rim in San Antonio and just browse all the gorgeous new stuff!

My office is in a small corner of our living room, so I it's always a priority to me to make this space vibe with the rest of the house. I like to include fun + inspirational decor mixed with office must haves. I love love love baskets to hide away unsightly stuff. I keep all of my camera equipment in one, my notebooks + loose folders in one, and stationary + mailing stuff in another. I added two gold metal baskets below my desk to hold bubble wrap, magazines + odds and ends from my oil business.

I'm so in love with their carved desk accessory collection! It's so bohemian + beautiful and gives my crazy pen + marker collection a place to reside, as well as other stuff. I got the beautiful capis tea lights in blush and used two of them for roller bottle storage + kept one to use as a tea light. And how can you not love little faux succulents??? I have the hardest time keeping them alive inside, so this was a perfect solution. My favorite decorative pieces is definitely the Mehndi hand. It makes a perfect statement piece on the triangle shelf. Wall storage is one of the best things for a small space. Anything you can get off the ground + up onto the walls will save you space. I think my two biggest tips for small space storage would be wall storage + baskets to tuck things away in. Check out their small space furniture collection for more ideas.

I feel so renewed + content to work in this space now. This is a place I spend most of my working time in, from blogging to my journey with Young Living essential oils. I am constantly interacting with people from this space, so I love that it feels truly life giving now. I think that can translate through your day to day communications.

Cost Plus World Market is having a huge in store sale on all their outdoor living items through the 29th so I thought it would be fun to do a little round up of my favorite summer must haves for outdoors. I put together a little 'dream collection' for my porch. I'm so in love with some of their outdoor entertaining items, especially those palm leaf placemats!!! I will definitely be popping into my local store over at The Rim in San Antonio over the weekend to try to snag those if I can.

I can just picture all these beautiful greens + blues together against this neutral Marina Del Ray outdoor set. I love this set b/c it would be so easy to transform each season with different accents and colors. I'm a huge fan of outdoor wicker also and I just love the softness of colors in this set.

You can grab a flyer IN STORE from a sales associate for 20% off Outdoor selections, plus 10% off food, beer + wine! This offer is only valid in store so if you want to save during this sale, grab a friend and head up to your local Cost Plus World Market before 5/29. Not sure where the nearest store is? Check out their store locator here.

In the midst of these beautiful carnations are a few of my favorite things...

1. These booties from Moorea Seal are so incredible.  They are currently sold out, but they do have an open toe version available.  But I have a feeling they will be getting these babies back in stock, so keep your eyes peeled!

2. This fringe sweater from Harper + Lange.  It's the perfect shade and the perfect weight, not being too thick or too light.  And you know, fringe.  Also, paired with my favorite hat from World Market. (similar)

3. Speaking of World Market, this gold foiled glass + sea green hanging lantern that I use as a flower vase.

The Ultimate Boho Bedroom Makeover with Neutrals + Pastels

This post is sponsored by Cost Plus World Market and contains affiliate links. All opinions are my own.

I have recently been making over my bedroom to make it feel more calm and serene. Choosing colors that are soft and neutral have been a big part of the change. I got inspired to create an inspiration board with some favorite boho decor from World Market. I love the collection that recently came out full of white washes, carvings and soft colors. Can't you just envision all these pieces together in a bedroom? I would daydream the day away under that canopy.

Cost Plus World Market is having their annual Friends + Family Event from 3/10 - 3/13 where home furnishings, decor + more 30% off and all food & wine is 10% off! I will for sure be popping into my local store over at The Rim in San Antonio to grab some things I've had my eye on! If your not sure where your closest local shop is you can check out their store locator here.

You can check out these beautiful boho items on the site for more details through the carousel below. I can't wait to get my hands on those incredible paisley wooden candleholders!!! Oh my heart!

You must present the coupon at the register, so if you are going to shop in your brick + mortor store print out this coupon first, or you can bring it up on your phone in store!

Laura's Earthy Bohemian Living Room

After living in our home for almost 6 years I finally feel like our living room is complete.  After having hand me down couches my entire life, I decided I was ready to invest in a forever quality couch that really fit my personality, and I found that in this beautiful blue Joybird couch.  Their furniture is completely customizable.  You can choose from tons of fabric choices and even the stain color of the wood!  Through our purchase with Joybird we have come to fall in love with their company.  Not only do we LOVE our couch, but their customer service has been so stellar that we already feel like they are friends.  Every step of the process left us feeling so good, I can't rave about them enough!

The two beautiful patterned rugs are from Ecarpetgallery, my FAVORITE place for bohemian rugs.  I have 6 of their rugs, that is how much I love them!!!  They are constantly getting new stock in and always have amazing sales.  I have signed up for their email newsletter so I never miss a good sale.

The jute rug is from World Market.  I'm pretty sure it's one of their staple rugs that is always around. (It's on sale right now!)

The lovely mudcloth couch pillows are from D+K Renewal.  I knew before I even chose my couch that these were the pillows for me.  I love the earthy tones and the fact that they are handmade.  They always have a great selection of kilim pillows too, like the pretty one on the stool by the wall.

My gorgeous mug was gifted to us by our favorite local coffee shop in Boerne, Electric Coffee.  They put "Ava Pearl" on the back of it for us.  So so sweet!  And the rad wooden sunnies are from Woodzee.  Love those babies.

This green velvet chair was a goodwill score years ago, at least 10+ years!  The macrame owl was a $5 garage sale score.  I just love a good thrift find.  This beautiful blue and white wool blanket is from Teysha.  They donated one for every one purchased to Standing Rock.  I love their company.  They sell handmade quality craftsman shoes that are so so good.

The adorable little wall hanging is from Ket Mercantile.  I just love the old dowl she used on it.  And the colors are just spot on.

Most of the other items are thrifted, handmade or passed down.  If you have any specific questions about something though feel free to ask!  I love having a mix of thrift finds, handmade and beautiful quality finds.  As you can tell I love earthy tones, but I love love love the pop of color this couch gives to our living room.  I feel like it just makes the space.  I was torn between getting an earthy colored couch or this blue one, and I'm so glad I chose the blue!
